I am posting this again since I am getting comments that people can't see it. So here we go. People often say to me, "Why don't you draw hot women" well I do, and here they are. Courtesy of Sony Feature animation life drawing yesterday. I like to use the models as just a quick reference of gesture. It is not my intention to copy what is in front of me. This gives me the ability to not only have fun with life drawing but also caricature the body and play around with different proportions as you can see.

I thought I would post some of my last weeks life drawing. As I mentioned in my book. I always like to experiment, I feel it is the only way to grow as an artist, and not be tied down to doing what you always do or always using the medium you are most comfortable with. With these 3 minute poses, I just used a brush pen and blue charcoal just to focus on gesture and not anatomy.

Thanks for all the intrest in the character design class. The January session is fiiled and it looks like the March session will be filled as well. I will continue to take names and address for future sessions, so please keep sending them if you are interested in taking the class. The third session will begin in June. Thank you for the great response. I look forward to having on going classes at my studio. It will be a lot of fun! Silver
I haven't posted memory sketches in a while, so here are the last three. These guys were all spotted on my way back from lunch. Sometimes there is alot to choose from and sometimes there is nothing that really jumps out. but the rule is you have to memorize someone.

I came across a bunch of kim possible roughs last night that I did in season 2 and 3. It was a really fun show to work on. I hope you enjoy them. The fat rufus drawing was for a plush toy they made. And some of these are prelimanary roughs that never made it in the show.

I just would like to put a feeler out there to see if there would be any interest in an 8 week character design class taught by me out of my home studio in Simi Valley, Ca. Space would be limited to only 6 students. Mainly because I would want to be able to have alot more one on one time. The class would cost $4oo for the 8 weeks and I would hold it on a weeknight from 7pm-10pm. Please post your comment on this if this would be of interest to you.
