memory sketch


This was a stage hand on the sony lot. Once again I was walking back from lunch, spotted this guy, took in as much info as possible and when I returned back to my desk,I drew him. this is a great excersise

Hey Mr. Silver? In what ways do you find it an advantage to draw from life when you get to your desk rather then just drawing right on the spot?

Is it something you think we should look into doing to improve our visualizing a sketch before drawing? Curious...

It is a great excercise because it gives you the ability to draw out of your head more as opposed to just copying what is in front of you. however it is also a great excersise to draw on the spot to. That is what I do before I start my memory sketch.
