Here are some rough sketches I have done trying to figure out Pedro and Kipp for Napoleon Dynamite. This is always the toughest stage and the funnest.

Flippin' SWEEEEET! How cool would an animated DYNAMITE be? Great exploratory sketches.

bxobKelly,
Everyone of us has the exact same features, eyes, nose, ears ect.. It is all about varying these elements within the basic shape of a face, variation in sizes. the best way to simplify is look at things really quick and go with your first impression.

Clarke,
This is just a fun personal project. see you in San Diego

The expression and posture is SO Pedro! The one above Napoleon running is the finest!

I used to work with a guy called Patrick Mate who looks exactly like the drawing on the very right, at least that's the way I remember him. Great sketches as usual.

Sweet.
I keep coming back to this post to take another look.
The head on the very left Pedro is right on but for some reason I like the body of the one closest to Kip.
I think the pose feels more like him.
That Kip is great and so's the Napoleon in run mode.
I can see him running down that long dirt road now.
It'd be really great to see a clean version some time in the future.

Hahaha!
I just took a closer look at the the running Napoleon's face.
That's priceless!
